　　This is the incredible moment a fearless woman strides into the road to pick up an enormous snake that is blocking traffic - as dozens of men stand watching.

　　The deadly seven-foot long python sparked panic after slithering into the middle of the road in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Saturday evening.

　　Trucks and cars travelling in either direction stopped while drivers stood by the roadside afraid to venture into the serpent’s path.

　　But one fearless woman in hot pants calmly walked over to the reptile to pick it up by its head and haul it over her shoulders.

　　Incredibly, she then poses with the wild beast wrapped around her arms as men take pictures.

　　Paulo Vincent, an onlooker, said: ’So I was just on the motorway riding my motorcycle and there is this snake stopping traffic.’’

　　Paulo said he was not expecting the woman to walk over and pick up the snake as he feared it could attack people.

　　He added: ’The reaction has been ’woah, what a brave woman’ while the men waited for the problem to be solved in another way.

　　’I think the men were deliberating whether to use a stick or call a specialist service.’
