　　俗话说‘万事开头难’，写作文也是一样。如何找到切入点完成第一句，甚至是第一个段落往往对接下来的逻辑发展和写作思路流畅度有着至关重要的影响。当然，对于读者或者考官而言更是决定第一印象的因素之一。然而，在教学过程中我发现，这一点也正是困扰很多考生的第一个拦路虎。本文将以分析不同类型的题目为出发点，建议一些相应的开头段写作策略。

　　首先，一个严格的雅思议论文开头段应包括背景介绍（phenomenon）， 观点、题目改写（paraphrase）和 主题句（thesis statement）。 其目的在于引出话题，给出争议点，并且作者自己的立场。以最清晰简明的方式让读者明白阅读目的和对内容进行合理预测。

　　第二，从考试本身出发，就段落长度而言。考虑到大作文字数应不少于250词，作为文章段首，字数基本控制在40左右，即3-5句最为合适。多数学生习惯直接改写题目，引出自己观点。而我们发现，雅思大作文的题目（rubric）的长度和信息量并不是一个定量。这种情况下，我们就需要针对不同的题目类型选择开头段的写法：

　　1. 有些开头段给了一些背景信息，给了部分人的观点，信息全面。

　　本题中提到找工作难的社会现象，并给出一方认为学校的课程设置应倾向于实践类课程而非传统课程以缓解毕业生就业压力。信息足够，这时我们就可以直接用 同义替换+主题句 的方式开头。 同义替换方法包括：

　　单词-- 换词性； 近反义词； 解释

　　语法--改变句型结构 （如主被动， 换角度表达等）

　　那么以上的例子可改写为：

　　The number of college graduates is surging over the decades, which results in an increasing pressure of job hunting among the young generations. Therefore, some people blame the situation on the design of curriculum, they believe that courses which may meet the current need of the society such as computer science and business are more important than those traditional ones like history and geography. + 个人立场

　　TIPs: 若题目中的背景信息太少，可通过添加细节描述的方法来扩展背景铺陈。

　　2. 针对只给出观点，没有背景句的题目，我们可以先从题目中找到需讨论的核心关键词，再围绕关键词展开背景介绍，引出讨论。

　　E.g. The best way to solve the world’s environmental problem is to increase the price of fuel. Do you agree or disagree?

　　本题想要讨论的是油价到底是不是解决环境问题的最好方法，讨论核心在于‘环境污染’。同时题中出现极端程度词‘Best’，所以立场应该是在肯定其合理性的基础上提出更加全面的解决方案。

　　The threat of environment degradation is one of the most severe challenges for the world in a whole. With regard to its causes, the emission of carbon dioxide, one the side effect of using private vehicle, should take the responsibility to a large extent. Thus, to make the ownership of automobiles under control, some people suggest that higher petrol could be the most effective solution. + 个人观点
