SIX-YEAR-OLD twins got married in a Buddhist ceremony because their parents thought they were "lovers in past lives".
Guitar and his sister Kiwi from Thailand appeared shy in front of dozens of loved ones who attended their ceremony last Monday.
Dad Amornsan Sunthorn Malirat, 31, and mum, Phacharaporn, 30, arranged the ceremony worth thousands of pounds so their kids will have "success".
Buddhists believe male and female twins are re-born together but have "karma" from relationships, so they must be married in order to avoid having bad luck in the future.
Amornsan said, according to Mail Online: "We believe that both the children used to be a partners in the past life. This is a belief we have inherited from ancient people.
[We thought] we must arrange a wedding for the two twins as a solution to the issues they had before they were re-born. If they are married, they will live healthy and successful lives and not be sick.
Video footage shows people following Guitar in a street procession, in which he has to pass through nine "gates" before he can meet the bride.
He had to pay a dowry of 200,000 baht in cash and gold, before he could marry her.
Although they are considered husband and wife in line with local customs, the ceremony is not legally binding.
They will still be able to seek their own partners when they are grown up.
