　　More than 90 million Chinese students received financial support from the government in 2016, up 7.6 percent year on year, according to a report Tuesday.

　　据本周二一份报告显示，2016年接受政府财政支持的学生数量超过了9000万，同比增长7.6个百分点。

　　The report, released by the Ministry of Education, said that China spent more than 168 billion yuan (24.4 billion US dollars) in 2016, 12.85 billion yuan more than the previous year, helping students of all levels from pre-school up to university.

　　据这份由教育部发布的报告显示，2016年中国在从幼儿园到大学的所有等级教育中花费了1680亿人民币(约合244亿美元)，比上年增长128.5亿元人民币。

　　Students also enjoyed free tuition and fees in compulsory education, the report said, adding that another fund of 16.74 billion yuan had been allocated to provide free textbooks for 128 million students.

　　据报告表示，学生们还享受了免学费和免义务教育费的待遇，且还分配了另一项167.4亿人民币的资金，为1.28亿学生提供了免费教科书。

　　Tian Zuyin, director of the National Center for Student Financial Aid, said that China would improve funds for students in 2017, so that "no one will drop out of school because of family financial difficulty."

　　据全国学生资助中心主任田祖英(音)表示称，中国将在2017年提高对学生的资金，如此一来“没有学生会因为家庭经济困难而退学”。
