　　This is a lix that says Facebook could be potentially on the move of entering China. Mostly likely the GFW will still be intact so FB will have to make to and build its network "within" China.

　　WeChat has far too strong of a foothold and is designed with Chinese sensibilities in mind. Plus it offers so much more than just a messenger （wallet didi etc.）

　　I was mostly pointing out that it would be better to use WeChat as an example as opposed to QQ. I'm not sure how common QQ is anymore but I'm sure WeChat is more popular.

　　Could Facebook （or any Western social media platform） be competitive in China? I think that's highly unlikely given how ubiquitous WeChat is in almost every aspect of someone's life.

　　No. QQ already has an established user base here it is used to enter other accounts etc. but no one has login through Facebook here. It will be an epic fail

　　QQ isn't any competition for Facebook because nobody uses QQ for all that much anymore anyway. At least not in my part of China. There are other apps in China that have a serious lead on Facebook. I expect that if （and that's a very big if） Facebook ever gets permission to operate in China again it will never take over the market.
